DR. BROWN’S NEW GLASS, POLYPROPYLENE BOTTLES PROVIDE MORE OPTIONS FOR PARENTS

Glass or plastic, all Dr. Brown’s bottles offer the popular, unique internal vent system

St. Louis, MO– Handi-Craft Company, makers of the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow products, is extending their baby bottle product line to include glass and polypropylene baby bottles. The introduction of the Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow glass and polypropylene baby bottles are natural extensions of the Dr. Brown’s feeding line. Over the past year, parents have expressed an increased interest in having a choice of baby bottle materials that include the same unique features of the Dr. Brown’s internal vent system that helps reduce feeding problems.

Like the Dr. Brown’s plastic bottle, the new glass and polypropylene baby bottles can be integrated with all of Dr. Brown’s Standard silicone nipples and their breast pumps. Dr. Brown’s will offer the glass baby bottle in 3 ˝ -oz. and 7-oz. sizes. Two-packs will retail for approximately $13.00 at select stores beginning in December 2007. Dr. Brown’s will introduce the polypropylene baby bottles in May 2008. Exact retail distribution dates will vary, so customers are asked to check with local retailers for availability.

“We are always reviewing our product offerings to ensure that we are meeting our customers’ needs, and with the increased interest in having a choice of different baby bottle materials, we felt this was a great time to extend our product line,” explains Handi-Craft President Carolyn Hentschell. “We believe that parents will appreciate having a choice of products.”

Parents have come to rely on Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow bottles for their unique internal vent system that helps reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping and gas. The new glass and polypropylene baby bottles maintain the same unique attributes of the popular plastic Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottles on the market today. The unique design of the bottle allows air to enter through the nipple collar, without being incorporated into the breast milk or formula.

In addition to helping with common infant feeding problems, the unique positive pressure design of all Dr. Brown’s bottles eliminates the vacuum and the air bubbles found in most baby bottles. This elimination of negative pressure helps to reduce build up of fluid in the baby’s ear. The positive-pressure design also closely mimics breastfeeding and is ideal for breast milk and formula alike.

All of Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottles were designed and engineered with the best health of baby in mind. Before going to market, Dr. Brown’s products are tested to ensure they meet federal safety standards.
